► Back to School Friending Meme Extraordinaire! ◄
I have always wanted to do a friending meme in my journal! Why? Because friending memes are super cool, and I am not gonna lie, every time somebody posts one, I think, "Damn, I should have done that."
So I am doing it now! The entry is public, so please, share!
Copy and paste this into a comment and let your colors show! *

Of course, for this to work, it has to be shared! Here is a link to the HTML code for the sharing portion of our fair meme!
ETA: The HTML code should link back to this entry now! I am a huge derp. Please post away! (there might be a spare "div" in there but if you just delete it it'll be A-OK).

What zodiac sign are you? Do you put much stock in that sort of thing?:Cancer - I don't think they are necessarily true, but I've always been very interested in star signs, and I really am a complete Cancer.
Are you in any of the Harry Potter landcomms here on LJ? (HiH, H_E, etc)? What house?I'm in HiH and HE - at HiH I'm a Slytherin, and at HE I'm a Puff. However, I think they got that one wrong and personally consider myself to be a Slytherdor.
Location (or a close approximation):Norfolk, England.
Job/year in school:I'm just out of college and am now about to start a part time course in A Level English from home, and am looking for part time work.

Movies:The Boat That Rocked, Adventureland, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Parent Trap, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, the Harry Potter series.
Books:Harry Potter, The Catcher In The Rye, Lucas by Kevin Brooks, Little Women, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Story of My Face by Kathy Page...
Video games:I only ever play the Sims on occasion.
TV shows:Skins, That 70's Show, Friends, Gossip Girl, The OC, Misfits, 90210, Sirens, Beaver Falls, Big Brother, The X Factor, Pretty Little Liars, The Big Bang Theory.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "what the fuck is a fandom?" and 10 being "I love so many fandoms!" how much is your LJ an expression of your love for fandoms?:I talk about my life mostly, but I will sometimes post about my fandoms (Skins, Harry Potter, The X Factor), maybe about a 5?
If money was no object (eg: every career made the same amount annually), what job would you have? (Don't say anything lame like "no job" or "professional lazyass" - dig deep, people!):
If I could do anything in the world I would be a dancer. I have little talent in the area, but I suppose if money was no object I could take the time to learn. What does the subject matter of most of your LJ entries seem to focus on? (eg: real life, fandom stuff, writing, graphics, etc):Mostly real life - my musings on myself, life, the people in it, rehashings of old memories, anecdotes, descriptions of what I've been doing. I sometimes post photos and memes, with the occasional fandom stuff. Sometimes fandom will cross over into real life, though.
What are you looking for in a new friend? Do you care about how often people comment?:Someone honest, open-minded and interesting. It would be nice if you write about your life and have some of the same interests. I do want people to comment sometimes, but it's not as if I expect it every post.

What zodiac sign are you? Do you put much stock in that sort of thing?: I'm a Gemini. While it's fun to think about once in a while, I don't put much stock in it at all.

Movies: Honestly, with my Netflix membership having been going strong for a year now, my favorite movies are generally the ones I've watched most recently. A Single Man, Sympathy for Delicious, An Education, I Love You Phillip Morris, Exit Through The Gift Shop... Long time favorites include Bablel, The Aviator, and Dead Poets Society.
Books: If you hadn't guessed by my username, Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite author. Other favorite writers of mine include Jeanette Winterson, Oliver Sacks, Alan Lightman, and Derrick Jensen. Some other favorite books of mine are The Stranger by Albert Camus, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness by Kay Redfield Jamison, and American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis.
Video games: I don't play a lot of video games. I have an X-Box 360 and occasionally play Left 4 Dead and Plants vs. Zombies, but I definitely need some recommendations. Oh, Arkham Asylum is good too.
TV shows: I'm a fan of the Discovery channel, the Food Network, the History Channel, and some shows on Bravo and Lifetime. Shows like Iron Chef America, Top Shot, Project Runway, One Man Army, American Pickers, and things like that are my favorite.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "what the fuck is a fandom?" and 10 being "I love so many fandoms!" how much is your LJ an expression of your love for fandoms?: Maybe a two or a three. Occasionally I'll get in a "mood" and have an entry mostly-devoted to something that's on my mind (usually the X-Men), but this isn't frequent at all. I'm not really a card-carrying member of any fandoms. I don't do the whole fandom thing, and I don't understand very much about others either.
If money was no object (eg: every career made the same amount annually), what job would you have? (Don't say anything lame like "no job" or "professional lazyass" - dig deep, people!): I'd still want to do very much the same thing that I want to do right now -- be some kind of advocate or legal counsel for the LGBTQQIAA community or people with disabilities. Maybe I'd like to be a psychologist who deals with issues related to those two groups, too. Either way, I'd really like to be involved in either the legal or the healthcare field and I'd definitely like to work with one or both of those groups.
What does the subject matter of most of your LJ entries seem to focus on? (eg: real life, fandom stuff, writing, graphics, etc): Most of my journal is related to real life events, or introspection about things that are going on currently or have been on my mind a lot lately. It isn't fandom stuff and it isn't graphics. Occasionally there'll be some photographs I've taken, or just some snapshots that compliment what I want to talk about at the time. But mostly it deals with what's going on in my life right then, and what's pertinent on my mind.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "what the fuck is a fandom?" and 10 being "I love so many fandoms!" how much is your LJ an expression of your love for fandoms?: I'd say 2, solely because I am a HUGE fangirl, but I don't talk about it that much on my journal
If money was no object (eg: every career made the same amount annually), what job would you have? (Don't say anything lame like "no job" or "professional lazyass" - dig deep, people!): Oh, man. Bookstore owner! Manager. Do want.

What are you looking for in a new friend? Do you care about how often people comment?:I do like comments, as it is nice to know someone is reading, but I am looking for someone interesting, who posts a lot of RL stuff, and who wants to form a friendship and not just a few comments and whatnot ...
