Name (or what you go by on LJ):Destiny

Age:31

What zodiac sign are you? Do you put much stock in that sort of thing?:Gemini, but I'm really not all that into astrology stuff.
Are you in any of the Harry Potter landcomms here on LJ? (HiH, H_E, etc)? What house? I'm in H_E as a Ravenclaw (though was almost re-sorted as Hufflepuff. :D)

Location (or a close approximation):Southern Maine

Job/year in school:Just had my last day of work. For the moment I'm just finishing up pregnancy and looking into grad school.

Favorites lightning round!
Favorite...
Movies:80s high fantasy classics

Books:Moby-Dick, The Library at Night, Audubon field guides

Video games:I don't really play video games, although I liked watching my partner play The Witcher 2

TV shows:the X-Files, Murder She Wrote, Babylon 5, Star Trek DS:9

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "what the fuck is a fandom?" and 10 being "I love so many fandoms!" how much is your LJ an expression of your love for fandoms?: 2

If money was no object (eg: every career made the same amount annually), what job would you have? (Don't say anything lame like "no job" or "professional lazyass" - dig deep, people!): Stay-at-home mother and/or professional organizer/decorator

What does the subject matter of most of your LJ entries seem to focus on? (eg: real life, fandom stuff, writing, graphics, etc):real life, in particular pregnancy, impending parenthood, and what I want to do with my life

What are you looking for in a new friend? Do you care about how often people comment?: Mostly I like to find other people who have some similarities to me--people interested in sustainable living, social justice issues, pro-choice. I like people who engage in cool hobbies and create stuff. I'd like to meet more people who are new parents or soon-to-be parents, although seasoned veterans and those who are interested in perhaps becoming parents in the future are also welcome. I like people who offer advice when it's solicited. People who comment are awesome, but I won't hold it against anyone if they tend to be a bit more shy in their interactions. That said, if you don't comment I hope you at least post to your own journal so we have a chance to get to know one another. Which brings me to my final point--if you post a lot of fandom stuff, I'm probably not interested. This goes doubly if you post fanfiction.
Please close your comment with an awesome gif or funny picture. Sorry. No gifs or pictures. I'm a bum.
