Name (or what you go by on LJ): Fae Age: Of an age where giving out my age makes me scowl. What zodiac sign are you? Do you put much stock in that sort of thing?: I'm a Leo and while I don't put much stock in it as far as horoscopes go, I do fit the descrip for Leos to a tee. Are you in any of the Harry Potter landcomms here on LJ? (HiH, H_E, etc)? What house? No, not in any HP comms at all. Location (or a close approximation): Washington DC metro area Job/year in school: Well past school days. I'm a writer of homoerotic romance novels. Favorites lightning round! Favorite... Movies: Devil Wears Prada, Serenity, Star Trek reboot, Office Space, 300, all John Hughes films except St Elmo's Fire, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, 80's teen films in general, Bringing Up Baby, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, anything with Audrey Hepburn or Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart. The Princess Bride. Guilty pleasure movies are the Fast and Furious series and all the crap movies Jason Statham makes but looks beautiful in. Books: The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning, also her Highlander series barring a couple I didn't like. The Downside series by Stacia Kane. Can I say my own? LOL Video games: Sims 2, Sims 3, FF: Crystal Chronicles, Spyro. Mostly Sims 2 and Sims 3 though. TV shows: Project Runway, Mad men, Firefly, Castle, Storage Wars, Drop Dead Diva, Top Chef, Next Iron Chef, Next Food Network Star, anything with Robert Irvine in it, Hoarders (it's a love/hate relationship with this one). On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "what the fuck is a fandom?" and 10 being "I love so many fandoms!" how much is your LJ an expression of your love for fandoms?: Maybe a 3 or 4. I only have one active fandom that I tend to flail about and even then it doesn't take over my journal or my life so yeah...3 or 4? If money was no object (eg: every career made the same amount annually), what job would you have? (Don't say anything lame like "no job" or "professional lazyass" - dig deep, people!): I'd have the job I have now, as a writer. It's my dream job and I finally have it lol. Why would I give it up for another?? What does the subject matter of most of your LJ entries seem to focus on? (eg: real life, fandom stuff, writing, graphics, etc): It's a real mix, honestly. Fandom (Adam Lambert specifically), real life about my partner and my cat and such, stuff about my writing and books and publishing in general. Memes occasionally, rants occasionally, a bit of everything, really. What are you looking for in a new friend? Do you care about how often people comment?: I hope people comment, but it's okay if it's only occasionally. I'm bad at commenting too, and tend to stay quiet if I don't have something specific to say. I read everything, though! As for what I want in a friend...just don't be a douche. I'm liberal, I'm LGBT, I'm atheist, I'm childfree and I'm pro-choice. Usually I'm not real vocal about those things, but I don't hide it either and if something riles me up I'll post about it. So if you're conservative, anti-choice, a tea-partier, a homophobe or someone who can't take a joke when I rant about the free-range sproggen in my apartment building, then it's best you don't friend me. :) Please close your comment with an awesome gif or funny picture. My photobucket is being a snot and won't let me in to get one. Sorry!
